  7. █  Menu conventions
  8.  
  9.     There are several menu conventions used
  10. in TechPlot.  These conventions are similar
  11. to those used in Microsoft Windows and the
  12. Macintosh.  For example, some menu items
  13. may have a check mark (>), an arrow () or
  14. a key combination next to them.  Other menu
  15. items may be dimmed.
  16.  
  17.     The following menu conventions are used
  18. in TechPlot.
  19.  
  20.   ■ followed by key combination:  The key
  21.     combination is a shortcut for this
  22.     command.  You can use this key
  23.     combination to choose this commands
  24.     directly without using the menu bar.
  25.     For example, the File | Exit command
  26.     is followed by <ALT-X>.
  27.  
  28.   ■ preceded by a check (>) mark:  The
  29.     command is in effect.  When you remove
  30.     the check mark (by selecting the
  31.     command), the command is no longer in
  32.     effect.  For example, the
  33.     Option|AutoRedraw command in Plot View.

  35.   ■ followed by an arrow () mark:  When
  36.     you choose this command, a cascading
  37.     menu (sub-menu) appears, listing
  38.     additional commands.  For example, the
  39.     File | Open command.

  41.   ■ Dimmed command:  The command is
  42.     disabled.  You may not use the command
  43.     at the current time.
